FoodCycle to feature on BBC Radio 4 Appeal

  • January 5, 2026

We’re excited to share, that this week, you’ll get to hear all about FoodCycle, as part of BBC Radio 4’s Charity Appeal.

Tune in to our special broadcast on BBC Radio 4:

  • Sunday 11th January at 7.54 am and 9.25pm
  • Thursday 15th January at 3.27pm

Voicing our appeal is the incredible chef and restaurateur, Angela Hartnett. Having worked in restaurants for many years and with a passion for good, honest food, Angela is the perfect person to share the benefits of community dining.

The BBC Radio 4 Appeal is a weekly programme that introduces listeners to charities making a difference.  Community dining is all about sharing food and company in a welcoming space and in the appeal, Angela highlights how FoodCycle’s community meals are about more than what’s on the plate – they are a chance to chat, connect and feel part of something.

By supporting the appeal and making a donation, you’ll be helping to reduce food poverty and waste, tackle loneliness, support mental health and encourage healthy eating and sustainable living.

If you believe in the power of good food and human connection, then please support the appeal.

Together, we can nourish communities.
